After a 15-mile road march with full combat gear

GET YOURSELF READY NOW: The Associated Press reported on March 18, 2004 that "...nearly half of all new recruits are being sent directly to Afghanistan or Iraq straight from Basic Training..."

You're thinking to yourself "How am I going to do it?"
How am I going to make 10, 12, even 16-mile road marches with full pack
and gear?  What happens to the "fall-outs" who can't hack it?
How am I going to "max" my push-ups and 2 mile run like BW did and still does?
The answer is to start with a mild pre-enlistment physical training schedule.

I would recommend starting now to walk/ run in a pair of military boots.
You can purchase a pair of Army Combat Boots for only $59.95
at our partner website: www.TheAmericanSoldier.com
This will condition your feet to Army boots and save you having to break
your feet in while you are at boot camp.  There is a lot to learn about lacing
the boots to the correct tightness, how loose you want them, wearing
Army wool socks, etc.  There is a chapter on foot care in my book.

In Army Basic Training Survival and Success in the US Army you
can get yourself ready using all of the information that I provide
to you.  There is over 500 pages of information to help you out.

Physical training is easy to start.  Go see a doctor and plan your diet.
If you smoke - stop right away!  Cigarettes stink and are tactically unsound
in combat situations because they reveal the smokers position by light and smell.
Stop eating fast food, junk food, candy, soda, and all that other fatty food.
Start eating potatoes, rice, and non-fried, home prepared, beef, chicken, and fish.
Start drinking lots and lots of water to get properly hydrated and
if you are sleeping late every morning, start getting up earlier and earlier.

If you have not been running, go see a doctor and find out how you
can start a run / walking routine.  DO NOT wait until Boot Camp
to start exercising for the first time in years!
  Those recruits are seen
as really weak and they hold back the others.  This singles them
out and getting singled out is not a good thing in the Army.

Men, you must be able to do at least 10 push ups just to get into
Basic Training.  If you can't do them, then you'd better start practicing
right now.  You'll need to do 42 in order to graduate.  Women, you
need to also do a few - just to get into Basic Training. So here is
what each and everyone of you need to do - if you cannot do
push-ups correctly, if you can not do enough of them, then
start doing kneeling push-ups right now, start today.  Start
building the muscles that you probably had no reason to use lying
around your house.  Throw in a few sit-ups too.

I want you to get a 3" x 5" card and write your PT goals on it and
tape it to your mirror.  Seriously, go and do it now.  Write on it
things like "Do 5 push-ups every morning" or "Fast Walk for
30 minutes every night."
You need to look at your goal card every morning as a reminder of your
commitment to yourself.  If you can discipline yourself to do this,
you can achieve anything you want when you get to Basic Training.
If you think this is a silly idea, that you don't need a goal-list staring you in
the face every morning, well then, don't say that you weren't warned!

When you get my book you'll learn proven, time-tested techniques like...
5 secrets to improve your push-up score on the Army PT-Test

Before I decided to write a book revealing my inside knowledge of
Basic Training and the US Army only a handful of well-connected recruits
had access to this powerful information.  Now anyone who studies just some
of the techniques in my book can give themselves a HUGE ADVANTAGE.
